Educated as an engineer, Jennie decided early on that engineering was not her calling, but at least the choice of study led her to meet Eric, her husband of 15 years! Instead of her original plan to study architecture, Jennie moved on to teach junior high school students, work in church administration, partner in founding a Christian school, and organize various women's and small group ministry ventures. Jennie's ministry focus has now moved to motherhood and home-schooling her two vivacious boys, ages 6 and 8. She is devoted to family, art, gardening, discipleship, and creative home organization.
Valerie is the mother of a 5-year-old son and a 3-year-old daughter who has cerebral palsy.
She and her husband Doug have both served in non-profit organizations and educational institutions for many years and have a passion for reaching their community with the love of Christ. Valerie is former bilingual elementary school teacher who is now a full-time homemaker. Having struggled with infertility for five
years before the birth of her first child and now navigating the path of
parenting a special needs child, Valerie has had many opportunities to give up
control to God and seek His will, and she deeply desires to support and
encourage other wives and mothers along their own journeys with Christ. She enjoys writing, photography, videography, art, sewing, and whatever other creative opportunities come her way!
Together,
Jennie and Valerie have coached and led Bible study small groups for many years. They are best friends whose lives have taken them to different corners of the country, but maintain their shared passion to
come alongside other women, helping them to draw closer to Christ, have more
harmonious marriages and families, and lead simpler, more balanced lives.
